Packages

Hello my lovelies!

I just got a package from Medford in Oregon this morning, I was expecting some necklaces and a bracelet from Burton in the UK, but it turns out a parcel can float accross international waters quicker than the UK’s postal service can deliver something!

It’s great, a friend from Skype that I’ve known for 2 or so years has introduced me to his grand-daughter, so now we all talk on skype at the same time, it’s great fun!

They really kindly zipped me a couple of Coca-Cola vintage mats (which I adore) that I can’t bare to ruin by putting drink on them, so I’m going to find a safe place for them in my new studio.

Also included was a little Canada keychain, with Beautiful Scott on the back, that made me grin extra big.

And 2 DVDs regarding UFOs, which I can’t wait to watch!

I love getting things, I’m going to zip them something back, too. Great fun! Better than emails.

Speaking of parcels, tomorrow is the deadline for my American things to be shipped from the company that I paid $100 or so dollars to, I’ll email them tomorrow if I don’t hear anything.

I’m anxious about them, I really do actually want them to come! They are great things, as I’ll tell you if and when I get them.

So that’s my mini-rant for today, I’m going to try and  blog more often, promise!!

Redesign day 2
August 10, 2009, 5:16 am

So It’s been a while since I updated this redesign thing, and I have a perfectly valid excuse.

I’ve been working out every morning and evening for the past 3 days, and it’s just about killed me.

I know it’s because I’m using muscles I don’t usually use, or at-least, not as often, but my calves feel like they have been run over.

Urgh.

My arms are also aching like a bitch. So! Removing wall-paper has been a very hard task to achieve, as it requires getting up, maneuvering up stairs, and then giving the wall your tough side.

I’m a tough cookie but wallpaper can wait.

Most of it’s gone now, and the pro is coming back tomorrow (Monday) to do other things to it.

I still have to hoover this morning, big mistake starting the work-out right now.

It seems my money is flowing away like well, water? I need to buy stuff all the time, theres quite a big list of things I need to get, and my apple keyboard decided it was going to die earlier in the weekend, so I have to replace that, too.

But I think somehow, somewhere, I’ll get there, maybe.

The good thing is the Orange contract fiasco is over. Shenanigans! But so glad it’s all over, I should get a written notification on Monday, and if I don’t, I’ll get my semtex, and blow Orange into orbit.

The video I made proved quite nice, I had quite a few people on MSN telling me they saw my video on BitterWallet, I thought they were a small website, but they seem pretty big. And super nice, some of their posts make my morning.

I need to get up (oh no) and start focusing on YouTube again, but as I’m a teenager, with a lack of sleep, and decoration stress, my face has decided to do it’s own thing this week, so I’m waiting until things calm down again, and am trying to get the right ammount of sleep.

On another note, you can download my soft sombre version of James Horner’s ‘Portrait’ here http://www.box.net/shared/ky1dvkivpy

Speak to you soon!

The future’s not so bright.

So for those of you who are on a Orange mobile phone contract in the UK, and want to get out of it, here’s the thing for you.

At the moment I think Orange are seeing something like rats leaving a sinking ship, they are the single most tragic freaking phone company I’ve ever come across in the 16 years I’ve been alive.

They changed the amount you’d be charged if you went over your minutes okay? And in their contract it states, if they change anything, you have the right to cancel. But they are saying to people you can’t cancel until you’ve received a text, telling them about the changes… So we’ve found the loop-hole that says if it’s communicated directly to you (via phone operator) that would still count.

Here’s my script that I shall read to them when I’m canceling mine, you might want to copy it. I’ll give you a update post and a video after it’s done, too.

Big thanks to this website – http://www.bitterwallet.com/cancelling-your-orange-contract-a-troubleshooting-guide/15849 – For providing all the information needed.

_________________________________________________________________

So the charges are for all pay monthly contracts that commenced sometime after the end of May?
So the changes would effect me correct?

I’ve got a network of 143 people on Orange on a Facebook group, some who have received the text, some who have not – So the text in question seemingly hasn’t been sent to everyone.

Which would suggest that orange is deliberately staggering them.

I’d like to take a quick look at two points in the contract:

4.3 – In such cases (of wishing to terminate your contract) you would need to give us at least 14 days written notice prior to your billing date (and within one month of us telling you about the changes)

And

16.1 – We regard you as having been given any information if it is either:
a) Included in a mailing addressed to you
b) By voice mail, email, text, or any other form of electronic message sent by us to your device
c) Communicated directly by any means.

What this means is that if the changes are being made that effect my contract, then I don’t need to receive a text – An operator communicating the changes directly over the phone is sufficient.

______________
(What to do if they say I haven’t gone over my monthly minutes)
You may not currently exceed your allowance, it’s your right to do so, and that this is clearly stated in your Orange contract.
4.3 You may also terminate your Contract if we vary its terms, resulting in an excessive increase in the Charges or changes that alter your rights under this Contract to your detriment.

Redesign day 1

Photo1364So I’m writing this will a blister that will probably end up being the size of a hockey puck on my thumb.

My hands are really sore from removing the wallpaper with this butter-knife like contraption.

It’s fun at the same time though.

It’s like being in a virtual world like Second Life, except I can’t create objects and move things at will.

I can however plan what I want to happen, which is very mentally stimulating, and good for me!

The creative juices are flowing.

I’m going with browns and oranges, my two favorite colors. The whole idea of this is to make the room look more studio-like. I have a feeling that if the vibe is right I’ll be able to write and produce some nice things, fingers crossed!

Photo1366

It’s always been a dream of mine, following television music producers like David Lowe for the past couple of years, to create music for TV & Radio. As well as some of my own content.

So this is a step in the right direction, and with all of the equipment I’m buying, I think I’ll be happier inside. Music does that to people!

Okay, so the blister has just gotten a whole lot bigger, it’s going to be a bitch, I might have to swap to my left hand *cries* god forbid!

Anywho, day one of the redesign and things are going pretty well, color sample is in, just need to wait for the paper ones to arrive.

See you all tomorrow!

More Ads Coming To TV

Coming soon to your TV: More advertising, in places you might not expect.

The ads are showing up where people used to enjoy a break from advertising, such as video on demand and on-screen channel guides. Even TiVo, which became popular for its technology that lets people skip TV commercials, is developing new ways to show ads.

As a result, you won’t necessarily see more traditional, 30-second commercials. Instead, many of the new TV ads will resemble online ads – interactive and often shaped for individual members of the audience. They’ll also be harder to ignore. Typically, you can’t opt out of seeing them.

The companies behind the latest kind of ads hope they’ll especially appeal to advertisers that are increasingly careful with their marketing budgets. In turn the advertisers are betting viewers won’t be turned off – as long as the ads pitch products and services tailored to consumers’ particular interests.

In a trial that ended last year in Huntsville, Ala., Comcast Corp. found that viewers shown targeted ads watched them 38 percent longer than folks who got less-relevant commercials.

“People like to shop. People like to research products,” said Charlie Thurston, president of the advertising sales division at Comcast, the nation’s largest cable TV provider. “Where advertising is intrusive is when there’s a complete mismatch between product and viewer.”

The increased advertising on pay TV services is striking, given that the industry started with scant ads as one way to appeal to subscribers.

Revenue from advertising on cable TV was just $100 million in 1981. By 2000, though, it hit $10.5 billion and then doubled this decade to $21 billion, according to research firm SNL Kagan.

Tantalising Tuesday

Why do my blog titles always seem to rhyme these days.

I like it.

A crush.

Yes here we go again, buckle in!

I’m having one, and this one is a little harder to shake off than all the rest, and I’m not sure why. Crushes are so hard, like their name; funnily enough, they crush you, or rather – Flood you. A water wall of emotions so overwhelming you have no where to run, no where to hide. An incredibly strong, passionate longing for a relationship with a person that has something you don’t, and could never have. A fascinating desire for two hearts to combine and be one.

A feeling so paralyzing that it affects your physical being. A thousand images of them pump through your blood stream, reminding every inch of your being what is going on.

The heart tries to out-run them, beating faster, faster, faster yet again. Your chest tightens. The realization of the fact it could never be, cemented in your soul. Yet those pictures still flow in ones body, and the heart will still try and out-run them.

Now etched with their picture forever.

What were once pictures are replaced by desperation and hopelessness. Your mind, your very own personal world fantasizes about them becoming a part of who you are.

Please stop the pain.

To mine;

Je t’aime plus qu’hier moins que demain.

I love you more than yesterday, less than tomorrow.

Money Monday!

Why is it that no one, spare a few like Bill Gates who are down-right swines anyway, has enough money?

I want a mixer, two logic keyboards, a new speaker system, the new logic pro and a new macbook. But I have to wait for everything!

If your a billionaire and your reading this, spare me a few million, please? I’ll do a sex tape scandal…

It’s my biggest pet peeve ever, just looking through the catalog… finding things that you want, but cannot afford.

I also want teeth whitening, because I used to drink SO much coffee when I was 13-15 that they’ve discolored slightly. It wrecks my confidence to hell and back, but it’s about £300 ($600).

So all of this is on the list, and there is a logical list too.

I’m getting the music stuff first, should be finished in about 2 months. That’s a long time, I could be dead then!

How would I use them (without terrifying people) if I were dead? Hmm?

Just a thought! Oh, and I need a new wardrobe of cloths.

I’m going to end it here before this turns into a rant.

Irony irony.

Oh, and a sidenote, I’m re-building EDS’s website, you can check it out at www.electronicdigitalsecurity.com

Peace out, homedawg!

Down in the dumps.

Hey guys,

I have a bit (understatement) of a crush going on at the moment. And I think it’s the biggest one I’ve had, ever.

It’s one of those typical ones that your not going to get anything back from. Unrequited love, very painful in every instance.

I’d liked this person forever, and me and a friend made a video for him, and he responded. I think that actually might have made my year. So that was all good and cool, and then it settled for a few weeks.

It all started to get very heavy a few days ago. I added him to facebook, not thinking anything of it, and he accepted, all fine and good, and I wasn’t expecting anything from that.

But then he started one of those facebook chats with me (which I despise, by the way) saying whats up.

And because the universe appears to be one colossal conspiracy against me, I was downstairs. And by the time I got back up (a few hours later) he was long gone.

So then I commented on his wall saying sorry I missed you blah blah blah and all that jazz.

Then I started a chat with him, he answered, said Hi there, how are you. I said good, sorry I missed you (because he hadn’t replied to the damned wall-post) and then he went offline.

Soooo, yeah. He went offline.

He probably doesn’t even know Facebook etiquette, but that ain’t it!

So I’ve gotten myself all worked up over this small small small thing.

I’m ashamed of it, because I shouldn’t be effected by this.

I want to get to know him so badly, hes my hero – But I need to stop the crushing aspect, because having a crush on him is in turn crushing my insides to a pulp. I don’t know whether I’m coming or going this week, and it’s only Sunday.

I can only hope the rest will improve.

So I’m going to ask him if he’s got a moment later, if hes online, and just talk.

And if I shoot myself in the foot with this one, I’ll scream so loud you won’t be able to hear for weeks. Or see. Or talk.

You might as-well be dead, come to think of it.

I just really needed to get this OUT there, I’m sorry if I sound so pathetic. But this really really had a impact on me.

Love you all!
